What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we need them to be as specific as possible about their requirements regarding type of hire, the estimated number of guests and type of venue. Try also to think broadly about the type of product you require - for example, if you are only interested in draught beer, please specify this. Finally, customer service is very important to us, so if the quote raises some questions, we are delighted to discuss them to establish the specific service the customer is looking for.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Give the supplier an opportunity to understand clearly what you really want for your event. If you are partially interested, but there's just something missing, ask them if they can accommodate you. Be prepared to open discussion with a supplier, to find out how much they value your business and if they are prepared to be flexible; after all, the customer is always right!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

It seems like each event is even better than the last, and last Saturday was no exception. Our customer and his guests absolutely loved our beautiful vintage horsebox bar and gave us so many compliments. They were delighted with the range of gins we had to offer, and the fact that we custom made their drinks to suit each particular request - some even asked that we surprised them with something different, which they tried and loved. As we drove away at the end of a very successful party, those people still there applauded us and thanked us for making the party unique.
