What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide an accurate quote, we need the realistic minimum and maximum total spend you are willing to pay for an event - remember there can be room for negotiation but as I use a professional and experienced bar team whether we're offering a standalone bartender in a box for up to 40 people or bringing a team of 6 for up to 200 guests transporting our bars and equipment, there are basic costs that need to be factored in. You should also decide on whether you want to buy stock yourselves from a suggested
shopping list or if you want us to take the hassle out of it and leave zero waste. Let's open a dialogue, believe us from our wealth of experience when we say, the cheapest quote won't necessarily deliver the best results.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I'm not just all about Gin. I am very creative with cocktails serves, premium spirits aimed at a more
discerning crowd and feel your special occasion needs to be elevated beyond hiring a function room offering uninspired cheaper alternatives. The Quality and expertise from my team is reflected with our pricing and professionalism - pay that bit extra and be left with a lasting impression, whether
it's creative drinks or just wanting to discover something quirky and different, from Gin raconteur to Creative cocktail maker, we offer a tailored experience.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I've been instrumental in creating drinks, managing influential cocktail bars and running
outside events and small festivals in Birmingham and across the country for over 20 years.
I was one of the first to tap into the rise of Gin culture back in 2009 when I set up the UK's first
dedicated Gin bar. Having led the charge for 5 years, I wanted to take my passion beyond the
confines of one venue and travel the country, visiting a variety of places and meeting new people.
I love that sense of adventure and discovery plus the theatrical side of me comes out when I have an audience to entertain.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
My main business bookings come from house parties or corporate events, whether offered as a Gin tasting of between 4 & 6 Gins or Gin-inspired cocktails or creating something bespoke and unique for our clients. Through Add to Event I've done milestone surprise parties, added the icing on the cake for that special day, provided a skilled and knowledgeable team for product launches, elevated corporate networking events through to hen party entertaining in cottages. From diverse locations on a barge, to presenting a Gin masterclass to 100 people in a country hotel - I have performed almost anywhere. The key is leaving a lasting impression.
