Based in Halifax in West Yorkshire, GinTopia is a bespoke modern mobile gin bar serving iconic and small batch artisan gins and cocktails for a range of events, large music festivals to food and drink festivals.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To get the best quote to suit you, we ideally need to know the where, when, who, why and how many people please - the more detail the better. Our horsebox Bo, is 4.3 metres long, over 2 metres wide and rather tall (9 ft) but we also have a pop up that is only 3m x 3m.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

To hire a gin bar - you need to know the range of gins on offer, is there a choice of menu, the tonic provider and if there are any cocktails on offer. What is the food hygiene rating, insurance cover, public liability and risk assessment available.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Helen along with the rest of the world was joining the gin revolution, which seemed to be revelling in new gins, exotic tonics and garnishes - so much to taste, drink and choose from. However the festival and show circuit just hadn't caught up! Feeling very disappointed, at the poor choice (if any) of gin and tonics when visiting outdoor events and festivals, Helen along with her friends Carol and Angela decided to do something pro-active and design their own mobile bar. With over 25 years experience in event management, customer service and many, many years experience of drinking gin- we bought a horsebox, converted her into a bespoke gin bar and started the arduous task of sampling gins..........GinTopia was born and has been busy ever since- alongside our friendly Gin Festivals and pop ups, we're having a ball.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We had a great weekend selling gorgeous gin by the measure and bottle at the Keighley Worth Valley Railway Food & Drink Festival, the organisers were great, knew exactly what they wanted and looked after their traders really well. We advertised their event on all our social media channels so our existing customers could come along for a great day out.
