What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

From our point of view we need to know how many people and the mix of people ie adults/children ratio, its ok to say that you have 200 people attending but when 1/4 of them are infants it does affect our profit ratio so we need to take that into account when costing What type of bar you require, cash bar or if the client is paying for the drinks or paying a portion of the drinks then reverting to cash bars.
Whether it's indoor or outdoor and what services are available to us on site we have bars to suit both scenarios, we also need to know how long the event will last, they do run over slightly but that's ok

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you get the provider to be clear about what they are providing ... welcome drinks invariably are never fully taken so in most instances a portion of those drinks are wasted and go warm if left out.
Most providers will offer different levels of drinks ... cocktails can be tailored to suit your event and personalised to your event so ensure you have that discussion before the event.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

OTB Events directors recognised that there was more to offer in the service side of the hospitality events and we take great care to discuss every aspect of the client's requirements and over-deliver on every point .... for instance a client requested her husband's favourite draught beer for him alone ... it was only available in 82 pint kegs so we sourced bottled versions of his favourite beer for his surprise 50th birthday to save the client having to pay for the entire keg, one of our staff was stationed on the door for his surprise party ready and waiting with his favourite tipple.
It's all about the finer details and going that little bit more to ensure their event is above their expectations

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had some amazing events from this platform .......most notably a 3 tipi event in a field with wonderful guests and a magical day and night for the bride and groom ....

We have done several christenings where we turned a drab community hall into a wonderful warm space for the family and all their guests to celebrate the christening of their child.

The horse box attended a 21st where we had organised a celebrity DJ that took the event to a different level.
