What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For Arabuko Bar to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we need the event date, whether the venue can meet our height and length restrictions, the number of guests, duration, type of hire for example dry hire. This is the key information to establish if we are able to work together.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It's important to know if the bar has draught taps, what access the bar will require, and if they have worked similar events before. I'd also suggest finding out about the type of drinks they serve, as well as what time they will work to. Finally, the prices they charge is pretty useful to know, just to ensure there are no surprises.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We started Arabuko Bar after spending years creating pop up festival bars, it made sense to build something permanent. We put our creative minds together and decided to build something completely unique, which would attract customers and stand out in a busy market. We've had a brilliant few years and hope to have many more, doing the thing we love.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Post lockdown we were hired for a garden party, we hosted 100 guests in a glorious back garden looking over the Mendips. Everyone was in fantastic spirits plus we lucked out with the weather, we felt part of the celebrations despite technically being at work. Drinks were flowing into the night and we made some fabulous connections that have booked us for next year.
