The Tipple Express
The Tipple Express provides a mobile bar with a unique appearance appealing to all audiences and a popular and fun way of keeping guests topped up during events. With a large serving hatch at the side, they can provide a fully stock bar and a tipple of choice.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We would need to know the date of the event, the sort of event, the anticipated number of guests, if a cash bar, pre-paid bar, or a combination of both would be preferred.It is also useful to know whether the event will take place inside or outside and if power and water is available. To create a reasonable quote for this, we can draw on our prior experience with events of a similar nature.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask the provider about what they are able to offer, draught beers and ciders, prosecco, cocktails etc. See if the provider can share sample menus from similar events to get ideas of the menu you would like for your event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Yorkshire-based, The Tipple Express is a family-run company, and 'by eck' do we love a good party! Generations of Tipplers work behind the bar, with the Tipple sisters in charge supported by their spouses, sons and daughters. We wanted to provide customers a unique experience by bringing the party to them and serving delicious, professionally made drinks at affordable prices.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Wow, despite being new to the platform, we have been blown away by the positive response we have received so far. We were recently scheduled to provide bar services for a 40th birthday celebration with a funfair theme, so we produced a bespoke menu in yellow and pink and labelled all the cocktails with circus inspired titles. We also made fantastic cocktails with the host's favourite spirits, Rhubarb and Ginger gin and Apple Jack Daniels. We have recommended the Add to Event to other providers and have nothing but praise for the platform. We are looking forward to many more bookings in the future.
