To provide accurate quotes we need at a minimum the location, date, start and end times, number of people, nature of event, inside or outside, access provisions, your budget and what services you are looking for us to provide. What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Experience and knowledge, plus range and quality of equipment and services will probably come a close second to the chemistry between you and your chosen provider. They are going to be there to serve you, you are paying for their expertise and equipment and you need to be confident in them to deliver on your desires.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Megasong was started over 30 years ago by the lead singer in a very popular band who got fed up with travelling the country and having to cart all their equipment and set up in unknown venues. The original business catered for performers coming in to our area where we would assess the venue, provide the necessary equipment and back stage services and allow the performers to turn up with Instruments pedals and microphones. They would do a sound check and their performance and finish. We were often asked for in-fills and other services so the business expanded over the years to accommodate pretty much everything from a small disco or karaoke to outside stages and bars etc. with venue makeovers, PA and tannoy and even a purpose built stage truck. We have DJs, Bar personnel, sound engineers and tons of equipment.
