They provide professional musicians and associated services for events of all kinds country-wide and here provide some tips for hiring similar providers to make sure your occasion is a success.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive proposal, we need to know about the event:
* Date
* Venue
* Number of guests
* Type of event e.g. wedding; product launch etc
* The type of music and entertainment that is required e.g. background music during drinks; music to dance to
We will use this info to put a bespoke proposal together, matching the music to the venue, or type of event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be clear about the atmosphere you're looking to create, and the venue you're using - if you want a band that all ages will dance to, or you're having a cocktail reception in an art gallery, a thrash metal band is probably not the right choice!
Be clear about what you expect the performers to do (and not do!), the music you want to hear (will they play it, or just play what they want to play?), and the timings of the booking.
Make sure you have a fall-back plan...if you’re hiring a DJ who runs their own solo show, check what the fall-back plan is in the case of illness; a string quartet, do they have suitable replacement players for if the worst does happen?
