What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Ideally, for us to provide the most accurate quotations. We need;-
Number of people expected (for sound hires)
Location to be covered (for sound hires)
Types of lighting needed (for parties, events, weddings)
Type of Event (indoor-outdoor)
Any additional information you think is suitable to give us the best idea of what you're looking to achieve. The more information we have the more we can work with you to give you exactly what is needed and best for your budget.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It's always worth checking their insurance. Especially for items such as lighting and sound hires. You wouldn't want your big day or event being scuppered by poorly maintained equipment.
Ask what options are available and some information. Your first idea might not be the most practical or the best for the budget you have. We always like to put 2 or 3 options on the table away from what the client initially wanted. And explain why.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We have been working in the Audio Visual industry for over 10 years. Providing outdoor shows and events through to conferences, meetings, corporate exhibitions and even funerals over the years. We've catered for both private parties plus commercial events across South Wales but also in parts of the UK.
We love the work we do and it really is a passion of us all. We get a great kick out of seeing customers happy and delivering what they wanted.
The business came about as part of a branch off into providing a complete hire solution to customers as it became more and more apparent that people are more and more short on time. I was increasingly seeing people dealing with 3 or 4 companies for the various parts of a party or an outdoor show.
We also have a huge hire stock of 2 Way Radio Communications and have won awards for our communication services.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event has been very easy to use to keep in touch and deliver information to customers. It allows each party on the hire to see when each other has read the messages and just makes it very easy to keep in touch.
