What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote we need to know the event date, the location and the number of guests. It helps to know if hot or cold food would be preferred and if water or electricity is available. With this we can suggest a suitable range of menus to choose from.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would advise them to check that the provider has an understanding of what constitutes a good, authentic paella. You may want to ask what ingredients and spices are used and if they source any of these from Spain. You will want to check that they can provide the appropriate indoor/outdoor service and are insured.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Born in Spain, I have always loved paella and when I moved to the Cotswolds I brought my passion for Spanish food with me. I've had years of experience refining his paella recipes, adopting the techniques of my Spanish mother and Catalan grandmother. With experience managing restaurants in Bristol, I knew I wanted to take the next step and establish a business of my own.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We just provided paella for a surprise 50th birthday party. We were one of four food vendors set in the garden like a mini food festival. The birthday gentleman was super happy and everyone was very well fed. They were a lovely family, a great group of people and it was very touching to be part of such a special day for them. We actually did recommend Add to Event to a fellow vendor there who had not heard of the website, we've been so content with the service that it made perfect sense to tell them.
