What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Providing a quote can be very different per service. I do not like to include every single detail on a form as I like to start a conversation with the client as this helps build a relationship with them before they book. Basic details on a quote form are enough for this. Basic details are a date, start time and venue, occasion and maybe the number of guests. With the platform chat very fast and easy you can also ask for extra information if you need it before you give a quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always look for high-quality photos. I'm sure every service anyone can offer should be able to provide nice photos of their past work. Maybe a website too that is nice looking and lots of ways to contact them instead of just one. Always make sure they have a phone number. If they don't have a website then make sure there Add to Event page is filled with info and again photos and up to date.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We started out DJ'ing weddings and parties. Our passion for the business then took us to the next step. We wanted to expand into lots of other wedding and event services such as dancefloors and photo booths. We now specialise in dancefloors offering every size possible including LED and non-LED floors. We also offer repair work for dance floors for other suppliers in England and Wales.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event is easy to use and I have managed to talk with my clients via your platform easily. Add to Event is far the best platform I have used outside of my direct website and Google Adwords. It gets us bookings and is also worth the money. I would and have recommended this platform to anyone running their own event business. The only thing I would say for improvement is for an app for the suppliers so we can message back even quicker instead of using mobile or desktop browser. Thank you.
