What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to be able to provide an accurate quote we need the event date & venue. It’s also important to know exactly what sort of things the customer is looking for. It’s best to make a list of items so we can work with them to create a bespoke quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Take a look through their website and social media pages. Ask friends for recommendations. Find trusted companies who are experienced in their field.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I’ve always loved decorating for parties and when my first daughter was little I always loved to go above and beyond to make her birthdays special. In 2018 my nanna sadly died and left all the family a little bit of money, rather than waste it on holidays, cars etc I wanted to put it to something more. This is when Howards Events was born! I worked full time whilst setting up and during covid I left my full-time job to now being full-time Howard’s Events and it’s the best thing I could have done. I absolutely love my job, love making a room look unreal for all parties, events & weddings.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We had a few great bookings from Add to Event so far. We’ve been chosen to work for JCT600 / LAND ROVER to create a balloon arch for their Doncaster store. We have been chosen by many brides as well who have found us on Add to Event and then contacted us via Instagram / Facebook to book with us.
I’m still building my account on here and updating it as much as I can.
