What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, I need the event date, the type of event, the estimated number of guests, whether it is indoors or outdoors, the number of photos the customer needs so I can put together the equipment and the team in order to accomplish the task.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Most importantly, learn if the provider has enough experience in their profession; for example, if we are talking about a wedding, a product photographer who has never shot a wedding might not be someone I would hire for such dynamic and fast-paced event as if they miss anything important, there is no opportunity to repeat it later, therefore the customer will not get what he or she paid for.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

12 years ago, when I held the first DSLR in my hands I was like Harry Potter with his first phoenix feather core wand; I just felt it was my way. How she looked like. How comfortable she felt in my hand. I looked through the viewfinder and pressed the shutter button. She clinged. I was shocked. Amazed. My jaw dropped. I knew the camera was made for me. That was a Nikon D40. Since then I worked for many different companies, individuals, brands and press taking photos in many areas of our industry. I still enjoy meeting new people and opportunities every day. The best thing in my profession is that you never know who you run into the next day!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have met a lot of unbelievably kind customers through Add to Event! There was a birthday in a very special, baroque-style building which was amazing! All the guests were praising the service providers and our professionalism so much we could not believe our eyes and ears! As I can see the platform is still growing in quite a fast pace and I am trying to do my best to share the experience with all the fellow photographers and videographers I work with.
