What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to accurately quote our customers, we only really need to know 3 things: The date of the event and location of the venue. Exactly what you're after (we offer Photobooths, Arcade Machines, Telephone Audio Guest Books and our brand new 8ft Telephone Box) How long you'd like our services for.
It really is as easy as that! We offer free delivery & set up within 20 miles for most of our services, with a surcharge for when we're travelling a little further afield.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It's only natural to be a little concerned that everything may not play out as it should on one of the biggest day of your lives! The best thing to put your mind at ease and ensure the day runs just how you'd like is to thoroughly vet the service providers you're interested in. Perhaps focus on things like "if there was an issue, what did they do to resolve it, and how did they go about it?".
Ask as many questions as you can to be absolutely sure about what you're getting. Ask them if there is anything that you can personally do to make things easier for them too... it's the little things that form friendships & partnerships! It becomes easy to spot the suppliers that are on your side and want to land something special for you.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
My business partner & I bought into The Booth That Rocks in mid-2022, and haven't looked back! We manage the business around our full-time jobs, and always run with the ethos of "what would we expect from a supplier for our event". We understand the things that can be a 'big deal' to people, and will take the pressure off of you at every turn.
And you know what I found when I personally got married? Communication was a MASSIVE thing for me. If you say you're going to do something - then you do it. And that's what we're all about... even if it means I reply to you at 1am :)
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We've completed a number of bookings through Add To Event now, and we love it! Yes it costs a little for us to 'bid' on potential bookings, but it actually forces you to cherry-pick the opportunities that you genuinely want to work on. We've got a few upcoming bookings that we're really excited for now, and have met some great couples so far!
One of our bookings in Chester resulted in us dropping off a mobile phone to a customer with a slightly sore head the morning after, having left it in our prop box of all places!! It happens more than you'd think, and it's always a talking point.
