What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide you with an accurate quote we first need to know a few things about your event. The location of your venue, the expected number of guests, the duration of hire and your desired date and start time. What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When booking a photo booth there are a few things to look out for. It's important to check they have public liability insurance and the equipment has the appropriate pat testing certificate. Ask them to provide you with photos of their setup, links to their website and social media. Ensure that they arrive early to set up and do not take set up out of your hire time. It's also wise if you have children at your event to check that the attendant staff have been DBS checked.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Photobooth Machine started when myself and my partner attended a family members wedding. They had a Photo Booth which you could also get keyrings from.

However, the photo booth was very outdated and kept crashing and needing to be restarted. I made a comment to my partner suggesting I could build a machine and offer a higher quality service.

1 year later we have completed 78 jobs and have a 5 star rated business.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We provided photo booth hire for a client on the 12th September who found us through Add to Event. This is our first customer through the platform. The event was an 18th birthday party for 2 hours. We estimate around 70 guests were in attendance.

The client was really easy to communicate with, and the event ran extremely well. Some of the guests were new to photo booth experience and some had seen a couple. Almost everyone was keen to have a go, by the end of the night we printed over 250 photos and filled the guestbook with hundreds of birthday messages.
