What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide an accurate quote, we of course need to know the date in which the event is taking place. Secondly we ideally need an idea of what time they might like us to attend? Afternoon, or evening? And for how long? Any other details they can provide will also help, such as potential venue location and also proposed set up location at the venue (ie Indoors or outside?).
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ideally, you need to have an idea of what your looking for, but also keep an open mind. We quite often hear things like "I didn't consider this kind of photo booth set up, but it worked really well" when we are compared to conventional, closed in photo booths.
Planning the running order of your event in advance can also help. It will give you an idea of when you might need us to attend. Some people start of by asking us for a quote for 4 or 5 hours, but later realise that they only have time for 3 hours, this works just as well for us and means you keep things entertaining for your event guests. We invite people to shop around, as we are not only confident in the quality of out booth and photos, but we also try are best to be competitively priced. The best you can find, at the best price you will find! What's not to like?
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have worked in entertainment and events since I was a teenager (a fair few years ago now). My team and I offer all sorts of event solutions and started out providing entertainment such as live music and DJs. It was only a matter of time before we branched out into the exciting world of photo booths! Our ethos is based on all aspects of what we offer being 'Home Grown'. We build all our own props, including the 'Pop Up Photo Box' photo booth (which is made from a recycled school gym floor). We love to entertain and our passionate about helping to create spectacular and memorable events to suit any budget.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have had several bookings through Add to Event. Not only with our photo booth, the 'Pop Up Photo Box' but also with our very popular singing waiter act 'Singing Surprise' and also with our mobile bar 'The Champervan'.
One booking that stands out the most was for a charity ball last year for the Royal Navy in Portsmouth. The enquiry first came in for a Photo Booth and we were soon supplying them with entertainment, lighting, the works! It was such a wonderful evening and so great to be involved with a local charity helping them to raise funds.
