What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Because we've made everything so simple at Boothiy - all we need to know is the date of your event and the location. To help us ensure you choose the right package - its also helpful to know what type of event you are celebrating and any special requirements or "must-haves".

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be really clear about why you are hiring a photo booth and make sure the style of booth you hire matches that. For example, if you are planning a wedding - and the most important factor is a guest book, then you will want a traditional photo booth or POD - not a magic mirror where guests sign the screen, and often then don't leave a copy in the book.
If its an 18th birthday party - you probably don't need to choose a more expensive package with prints, and would probably be best having an 'all-singing, all-dancing' photo booth with digital stickers, props etc plus built-in upload and sharing technology.
People hire photo booths for all sorts of reasons, but make sure you know why you are hiring one before you start looking for one - this will make sure you are completely satisfied on the day, and not regretting a decision made on the basis of the photo booth companies sales pitch!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We've been working in the events industry, predominately weddings for over 10 years now - for most of this time we have operated a number of successful photo booth companies, and over the years as that industry has matured we've really come to understand the things that actually matter in delivering a memorable photo booth experience.
When we first started providing photo booths you wouldn't dream of hiring one out without an operator (most of the time the operators were the business owners!); yet now - the quality of the operators is reduced and people are so used to using the booths they don't tend to need the help - so often the operators detract from the experience by actually hampering it.
A large part of your cost is the staff that operate it, so if you remove them and leave just the experience that works for you - what you are left with is what we have created in Boothiy - finally a photo booth experience designed by the customer, for the customer! We are on a mission to revolutionise the photo booth industry, making it more enjoyable for everyone
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
As we are very new we haven't yet had a booking via Add to Event, but we're really pleased so far with the interest we've had in only 3 days - I am confident we'll be able to secure a good number of bookings via the platform this year and look forward to sharing wonderful stories as we do :)
