What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Firstly, we need to know the date of your event, your chosen venue, and a description of the type of event you want to hire us for (is it a wedding, a birthday party, prom or work event for example).
Our booths are suitable for indoor events and professionally hosted marquees, so please let us know where you plan to set up. Are there any access issues or parking restrictions? Are there any time limits imposed by the venue for setting up or leaving?
The more information you can give us at the start, the better, as we use this to create a quote for your event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Every event is different, and there are many different types of photo booths, so it really helps to have a good idea of the event you're planning when you enquire so that the provider can make sure you get the best service. Ask about the space needed, any extra services on offer and whether a booth is suitable for outdoor use (many aren't).
Make sure that there's room in the venue you're hiring, and ask if the booth provider has been to the venue before; they might have advice for you about where is best to set up.
Ask about the suitability of the type of booth for your event; for example, some booths (mirror booths) are not suitable for daylight use.
Ask about the length of time you're likely to need a booth at your event - an experienced booth hire professional will be able to give you advice on when to book from and for how long.
Ask what's included in any photo booth hire package - unlimited visits is not the same as unlimited prints and some suppliers don't offer unlimited prints.
You might also ask about accessibility for disabled guests, as some booths are more suitable than others for guests in wheelchairs, for example.
Ask about the venue's requirements for Public Liability Insurance (many venues are asking for at least £5million) and if the booth providers have a current PAT certificate.

Glitz n Glamour Booths came about after years of attending weddings as a wedding photographer. I saw how much fun wedding guests were having with the photo booths - at the time, they were a relatively new idea and everyone seemed to enjoy them.
I decided to bring the photo booths to the area and offer them for weddings, parties and events and the business took off from there.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
There has been a lot of interest in Glitz n Glamour generated from Add to Event, it's been a really useful service for us.
We've been able to take on bookings for some really fun weddings, mostly with our Boutique Booth which always proves a popular addition to any party. We have enjoyed taking the booths to a huge range of events, from high-end parties at very well-known university clubs to wedding receptions in cosy social clubs. Of course, we enjoy meeting new people and giving them little reminders of their big days with free prints and a complimentary wedding/birthday guest book.
