What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We love to hear all about your event, the more information you tell us about it, the more comprehensive our quote will be from the outset as we gain a clearer understanding of you requirements. However at a minimum we need to know your event date, type of event (wedding, corporate etc) and your event location or venue. But the more you can tell us the better understanding we will have and we can tailor the quote more to your exact requirements and make suggestions to help you.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Price is important, but the price shouldn't be the deciding factor. Every supplier will be different and not all quotes will be equal in the service which they will provide. So price aside it is vitally important to read and understand what they will be offering and what is included and what is an additional charge. There may be additional items that you'll need to add and with others, it's included as standard as part of the package. Same with travel fees. Always check if travelling is included or an additional extra.
What props are supplied? home printed props on sticks or premium props, hats, glasses etc. Are they included or an additional cost? How many prints are included? Do they even offer printing? Guest book? free or additional extra? How many hours? Some provide 2 hours others 3 or more and ultimately picture quality. What are they using to capture the images? A DLSR professional camera or a go-pro, iPad or similar.
It's important to check what each supplier will provide as standard against the fee to see which is really better value for money.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started as a DJ back in 1986. Over the years I have become a specialist wedding DJ and over the years I have been asked by many clients if I could source many additional products to enhance and entertain their wedding and guests experience. So over the years I have diversified and added many products through the years and now run separate businesses alongside my partner.
We now run a successful entertainment companies SW1 Events and iBooths Photo Booths. We supply everything from mood lighting, led starlit backdrops, led starlit dance floors, confetti cannons, led letters, photo booths, dry ice, monograms and so much more designed to enhance and wow our clients and their guests.
Our clients can now book everything they need with the reassurance they need knowing that quality and reliability is maintained throughout as we own everything we supply and is readily available for our clients to come and take a look whenever they wish.
