James Richardson Photography offers gorgeous, natural & fun wedding images for clients who want the best coverage, without spending all day in front of the camera. James has spent the last 6 years photographing stunning weddings in and around Lincolnshire, nationally as well as destination weddings.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me to provide a quite to a client, I need the following details: the location, date, how long you would like me for. With that information, I can then provide you with the best possible quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would always ask the supplier whether they have worked at the venue before, and if they have not, how they would capture those photographs you would like.
I would also ask about the style of photos you would like on the day, whether these be traditional, candid etc. The more information the photographer can provide (and images too!) the more reassured you can be in knowing you have chosen the right professional.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my Photography business back in 2017, as I started in sports and gradually migrated to wedding photography. Since 2019 I have photographed well over 150 weddings and I love it! My passion has always been in photography, I just haven't realised it.
My aim is about capturing your day, but also not make you feel awkward in those photos. I have changed and adapted my style over the years.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had a couple of bookings through Add to Event, with the best one being an intimate ceremony for 5 people at a registry office in Stamford. This was an amazing service as it was purely for them and their family. Every detail was thought of and the couple were in their element.
Because of this event, I now use Add to Event to bolster my work and ensure I'm seen by as many amazing couples as possible to ensure they get the best wedding photography.
