Based in Tintagel in Cornwall, Woody's Pizza creates Neapolitan style pizza baked in a wood fired oven from their rustic horse box. They cater for a range of events, from weddings to birthday parties and celebrations.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

At Woody's we keep things simple. We have a set price per pizza so to give you a quote we multiply that by the number of pizzas you want to book. We then just need the date and location. We may need to charge a fee for travel but that's it there's nothing else to pay. Of course we're more than happy to help with working out numbers, topping choices and timings but hopefully it's all refreshingly straight forward.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, consider your theme, street food works best in relaxed, informal environments, like a festival vibe. Think about your guests taste in food, it's impossible to please everyone but generally a younger crowd loves pizza, older guests - for some reason! - aren't so keen. Ask about the process and ingredients; we make and prove our dough by hand, it takes passion and hard work and creates a totally different taste experience from someone buying in bases and adding toppings. Look for exceptional quality, it is out there.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Before I set up Woody's my job was sitting at a computer and after ten years a change was way overdue. After exploring lots of options I chose pizza and have never looked back. Now I'm part of a global community of people completely obsessed with making Neapolitan pizza, we see it as craft, a skill that takes time and experience to perfect. The street food scene is the way forward for affordable, simple and exciting food. It's about specialising in one dish and doing it really really well. Competition is fierce which is great, it means to survive you have passion and pride in what you do.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We get more requests through Add to Event than anywhere else - it's a great platform and works really well for us. We get lots of bookings for weddings and it's always fun, the formalities are over so everyone is enjoying the party and looking forward to some amazing food. We genuinely get a fantastic response to our pizza - we're often told 'it's the best pizza I've ever eaten' which is exactly what we want to hear. We're confident in our product and love feedback and reviews, this is from a wedding we did recently "Woody's catered at our wedding and went down an absolute storm! I couldn't believe the number of people who commented on how good the pizzas were" - in our business thats job satisfaction.
