What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We require information on the date, time, location or venue. And we need to know the number of guests we would be catering for. Any particular food requirements - such as gluten-intolerance is really important. Also, we need to know whether you would like any additional extras like salads, sides or desserts.

We would suggest using someone that has done similar events previously and don't neccessarily judge on price and go with the cheapest. Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

After attending a music event four years ago, we decided we should start the business as we were
fed up of being at events where the food was of poor quality and also very expensive. Ollie is a chef by trade with over 20 years experience so has a love for all good food. He has experience in catering for large banquet functions, also making him ideal for private hire events, like weddings, birthdays and corporate events. Ollie's partner, Jess, has worked off and on in hospitality and with people and food. She also loves to cook. She has also worked in project management, so she has great organisational and interpersonal skills which is great for getting that event or party planned. We really wanted the customer to get a great product, freshly prepared and made to order, at a reasonable price. And we really just thought that with our combined set of skills, we could vastly improve on a lot of food found at public events around the UK.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We've had many great jobs via this website - both public and private work has come through the
site. It's very hard to name just one. It does take time to build your business but a site like this really helps, particularly when you start getting great reviews. We wouldn't stop using Add to Event now; it has been extremely useful in us obtaining future and last minute work opportunities. Other sites don't really compare and aren't as good. It is well worth the money!
