What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to give you the best possible quote, we ideally need to know how many guests will be attending the event, how long the event is for and if there will be power available for our catering service. We do our best to give you (the customer) the best possible price whilst providing a 5-star service.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly I would ask them just to do some research before hiring, a good supplier will be happy to be transparent and open with a potential customer. Also, make sure both parties (supplier and customer) have an understanding what the job is and what the event is about. Lastly, open communication, the best way to really know if you're dealing with a good supplier, have a phone call with them and discuss the job in principle before hiring them.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Big slice Ltd was formed out of the love of great food and a passion for even better service. Pizza is my favourite food of all time, and I really wanted to work on mastering the fine arts of making freshly made, authentic stone-baked pizza. I’ve always felt like my passion and purpose in life is event catering/ planning with great pizza and amazing customer service the core principles for the business foundation.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
One of our first events for Big Slice Ltd was for a 30th party near Gatwick Airport, this was a 3-hour drive away for ourselves and a very big challenge. Our team was amazing, and the day was a huge success with the host leaving Big Slice fantastic reviews on our social media site, and even got us a recommendation for our second Job for 300 guests.
We have just started using Add to Event, and I fully recommend the platform and service. It’s easy to use, and as a supplier gives us as many details for the customer's event, so we can quickly give an accurate quote.
