What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to our customers we would initially require the event date, period of time the event is being held over, expected quantity of guests, an address where the event is being held and quantity of equipment they estimate to require. We would also need to be informed if the customer is requiring disabled welfare facilities for their guests.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, I would recommend that the customer clarifies the quality of the equipment that they would like to hire. Some companies like ourselves supply top quality event toilets bought brand new for that year's events, whilst others supply building site standard equipment which may have been used on sites for a few years. Secondly, clarify the transport dates and times to make sure they are not being delivered at the last minute on the day of the event, they may need to be on site a few days earlier for organisers facilities. Thirdly, make sure the provider that you chose has all the relevant legal certificates to provide the services you require. With toilet welfare facilities the company should be licensed by the Environment Agency, local Water Authority and provide you with legal waste transfer notes when removing the waste and toilets from your site.

ML Plant & Toilet Hire Ltd have been a well recognised Plant Hire company within the area for the last 20+ years with an excellent reputation for great customer service and standards of equipment. Over the years the customers of this company enquired about Portable Toilet Hire for their sites so that they could hire the complete package from one local reliable company. Therefore the decision was made 4 years ago to bring the Portable Toilet Hire element into the company for building sites and event hire. Since the introduction of the Toilet Hire into the company it has grown from strength to strength not only within the building trade but also with valued event customers that return to us each year.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have only been part of the Add to Event supplier family for a short period of time but we have had many happy customers so far.
