Nomad Cooks
Nomad Cooks provide a variety of private chefs with sample menus, reviews and pictures. Their chefs have a minimum of two years of private chef experience, and they only accept the top 10% of applicants. The company focus on recruiting friendly, professional chefs who are comfortable when working in homes.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
All we need is the number of people, the date of the event. Then we can match you with one of our many incredible, highly trained chefs and cater the perfect menu that will be within a budget and cater to any dietary requirements that you or your guests may have. After that, all you need to do is enjoy the perfect event!
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Compare the prices that they will offer. Nomad Cooks offers low prices for excellent food. Many places will either offer you a very high price (and sometimes not good value) or a low price that is sure to disappoint your guests with the quality of ingredients and dishes. Instead, we provide you with the perfect median between affordable prices and an event catered by chefs that have worked at the likes of the Ritz!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started Nomad Cooks in 2020 after I witnessed first-hand how agency-booked private chefs couldn’t deliver dinner guests the experience they deserve. Poor communication, lack of personalisation and cost-cutting led to second-rate dining experiences for guests. There were issues for the chefs too: low pay, lack of autonomy, and no ability to create bespoke menus their clients would love. So I decided to try and fix these issues and provide customers with the perfect catering for their special events and also provide fair pay and good conditions for our wonderful chefs.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have only just started using Add to Event to connect with customers that need catering for the dinner parties and events. Already we have noticed what a great platform it is. Too often customers that have booked with us have told us of how they struggled or were worried that they wouldn't be able to find a suitable caterer. Luckily Add to Event provides the perfect platform for this. Whether it be a small, intimate dinner party or a larger celebration. Through our collaboration with Add to Event, Nomad cooks has been able to provide customers with the perfect food for their event!
