What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide the most comprehensive quote we need to have the number of guests attending, what menu type(s) they are interested in, if you require any staffing at the event and if you are looking for us to supply any cutlery, crockery and glass hire. The more information up front, the easier it is to supply them you a quote that is accurate.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

There are a few things to consider when looking for any service caterer you haven't used before. In catering I would suggest the following: Have a look at the provider's website, what they offer and what they say about themselves. Make sure they offer what you are specifically looking for. Have a look at where else you can find them on the internet, listing sites and look at reviews that other customers have left about them. Talk to the caterer and ask questions - they should be able to be confident in what they offer and be able to convey that to you as a customer. Don't be scared to ask for a tasting/sample.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Jace Catering is a family run business, started up in 2012 by our Head Chef Trevor who has had an expansive career as a high quality chef from a hotel background. Having worked in the Ritz and the Mandarin Oriental as head chef for many years, he wanted to bring his experience and quality of produce to the local market where he grew up. His aim is to provide a memorable experience not only in the food he produces, but in the entire experience they receive

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had a fair few bookings through Add to Event and have built up some very lasting relationships and repeat business. One of the biggest events I would say to date was a 3-day conference in London which led us to do many other events for them as well. I would recommend Add to Event to others as it is so easy to use and offers plenty of possibilities.
