What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide the most comprehensive quote we need to know the date of the event, the length of hire, what equipment is required for the hire and the location of the event unless the client wants to collect from us? Additional details such as the type of event, whether the event will be indoors or outdoors and the estimated number of guests also allows us to develop a more accurate proposal for the hire. We offer most of our equipment on a dry-hire basis meaning the customer sets up and operates the equipment but alternatively we can take all the stress out of it and provide a technician so its always good to know whether this service is required or not.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There's a lot of companies out there offering technical event services and it's always good to check out their level of expertise, it's so easy to buy sound and lighting equipment these days that there are new companies popping up all of the time but you can't always guarantee quality. Firstly I would look at the equipment they rent out, maybe do a quick google search and see how much it would cost you to buy, if it's not too expensive then chances are its not designed for the rental market and I would advise to steer clear, these rental companies aren't prepared to invest in the best quality equipment. Secondly, take a look at some of their previous work, check out the reviews if they have them, take a look at their website, some of the best companies out there will have scores of feedback and photos to back up their offering. Finally, check out their price against the competition, if they're massively cheaper than the competition then they're more than likely looking for quantity over quality, why risk your event having problems when you can choose another company guaranteeing 100% satisfaction.

Undefined Group all started with three friends who loved working in the technical industry, we took a passion and turned it into our business. We always try to stay ahead of the game, constantly investing in new equipment and maintaining our rental stock to the highest standards ensuring our staff and clients always get the best on-site. We have a keen eye for detail and our creativity always brings new challenges when working to a clients design concept, but none the less we always pull it out fo the bag. Our flexible approach means whether its a simple speaker hire or a multiple stage festival, it always gets our full attention and our clients are always at the core of what we do!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We're really new to Add to Event and in our first week we already secured a booking, the process was really simple and allowed easy communication between the client and ourselves. The hire of a PA System for a wedding is a common request but never has it been so easy to go from a client request to getting the order placed, we're looking forward to getting more exposure to new customers. I'd definitely recommend Add to Event both to Rental Businesses and to Event Organisers, it's such a simple way of finding what you need without having to go out looking for it and its a great platform for us to speak to potential customers who we wouldn't have otherwise found.
