Silent Disco DJ
Silent Disco DJ, based in Kent, provides traditional mobile discos and silent disco DJ services to both the wedding and party organiser. Silent discos are becoming very popular with venues where there are noise issues. Corporate clients can use the headsets for promotional events. A bespoke service; the DJ is present throughout the event. Lighting and normal PA systems can be added for times when sound is not an issue.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
The most important initial factor for any supplier to understand is the client's budget limitations. Many clients have Champagne aspirations with only beer money. Having a specific budget level enables us to concentrate on the clients that have realistic expectations and means we work with only those whom we know we can help.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
To have a clear understanding of the service they require; not a hit or miss approach. Each supplier may offer a similar service by name only. The client should research by visiting suppliers' websites and, more importantly, take the time to talk to the supplier. Be sure that the supplier has appropriate experience and longevity within their trade. Also, ensure they offer only good business practices and on-going support before the function or event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Silent Disco DJ started in 1964, at a time when everybody used to have a small combo band for their wedding music. The business proved realisable and has always offered good value for money. Longevity and a professional approach to the client's requirements have also been the formula for on-going success.

Found the client base has always been profitable. Most importantly, those that took the time out to discuss their requirements via a telephone call has turned into a contract. I would recommend Add to Event.
