What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To get the best possible quote from us in the quickest time, there are a few bits of information that we need to be able to do this. Please let us know the hire date, location of hire, times of the hire (time it needs to be ready by and time we can collect) and the items you would like to hire.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would want to know if they could provide exactly what I wanted. Ask to see photos of their products to see if it is what you want before progressing with your order. See if anyone has left any reviews about the products or the company. Also for electrical items check that everything is Portable Appliance Tested (PAT). You also want to make sure the supplier has appropriate Public Liability Insurance (PLI).

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always loved being outdoors and running activities. Being organised is something I have always enjoyed at work. After a few Covid lockdowns I was working in a factory and just woke up one day and thought I wanted to do something for myself. So I went and bought a van and started making some lawn games. Whilst building the crazy golf and other games I bought some soft play, and then I have carried on adding items to my hire list.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

So, I am getting more and more bookings through Add to Event. One that stands out was for a corporate Christmas party. Two of us headed off down to Glynde. The weather was not great on the way, but it slowly started getting drier. Then when we got there after a two-hour drive we were greeted by snow.

The venue was amazing and with everything covered in snow we had some amazing photos. We set up archery and axe throwing ready for the groups. The group had set up some fire pits to help keep everyone warm. Everyone said they had a lovely time.

I would highly recommend Add to Event to suppliers and to people looking for suppliers. Suppliers can search in categories of items that they supply. You only have to pay for the jobs that you decide to quote on. And for people looking for specific items, you will have a lot of people wanting to quote for you.
