What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer ideally we need to know the event date and type of event (private party, charity event or corporate event), the venue (indoor or outdoor), estimated age of guests, estimated number of guests and which of our pick n mix party services are required (A) characters only (B) soft play only (C) full party including characters, games and DJ (D) full party including soft play hire. From this we can tailor a quote to suit any budget.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If it is character bookings, don't go with a cheap provider, if you do, you will likely find the costume quality is very poor. Notable entertainers invest substantially in proper costumes and equipment and the difference is obvious when you are up close. Try and find one provider that can do everything for your event, it is easier to manage and often means discounted pricing. Make sure the company has insurance, that performers have security checks, and go for someone with a theatre background as they really make parties come alive!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

This is an expansion of our theatre business. We were tired of businesses popping up in our area that were overpriced and offering very poor quality services. We have invested a lot in equipment, costumes and theatrically experienced performers. We want any child to have access to a great party, and we work to any budget, offering discounts to charities because entertainment is all about making people smile - and that's what we shouldn't ever forget.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

This has been a fantastic platform. In the first month since launching the business I had 4 bookings that came through, each choosing different service options which means we will be able to build up reviews from those events. I would recommend this service to others as there are a real mix of requests coming through and it is a secure platform to provide information to potential clients. We have had repeat bookings from initial introductions, which is fantastic for us.
