What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To be able to provide the organiser with a definitive quote we would need to know what sort of style and design they would like and the date.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would advise the customer to look at suppliers within their budget and then find out of the supplier can actually help them - stationers are often overlooked and left last to book and it may be that they don’t have any design slots to be able to fit them in. Then ask if they are able to actually produce something they are looking for. Find out if there any reviews of their work and service.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Our business started during the back end of the recession. Work had been depleted and scarce in my business as an audio transcription typist and in my husband’s other business, graphic design, where he works mainly for shopping malls and printers and still does. So we started trying to think of a business I could do with a little help from him. I literally woke up with a start one morning and shouted ‘wedding stationery’!!! I think I had been dreaming about it! My hobby was to make handcrafted cards with inks, stamps etc and canvas art so wedding stationery would be perfect!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

As yet, I haven’t been able to secure a booking on Add to Event - either my prices are out of budget or I have been fully booked. But don’t let that deter you from obtaining a no-obligation quote!
