What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
I require the number of guests, location and time. Also, the choice of menu is important. Other factors that are influential include the type of event and any other expectations they have for the vendor.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
A provider should focus on the cuisine they want first of all which helps vendors decide whether to quote. Check the reviews of all vendors who bid. Give a full description of the event and your requirements in the initial post. A lack of detail can mean unsuitable quotes are sent and received. Finally, ask plenty of questions to avoid any miscommunication.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my food trailer after working abroad for a long period of time and decided to return home and start a new business in an area I was passionate about. I used money I had saved and planned everything independently. I wanted to use the knowledge of food I had built up from my travels around the world to put a twist on a national favourite - pulled pork.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event has been brilliant for my business. I have had many successful bookings through the website. One of the best results this year was at Ipswich Rugby Club Bonfire Night.
