What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote we ideally need the event date, an explanation of the event and where it is to be held. If there is power and water on site and how big the space is. We always need to know the number of guests that we would roughly be catering for and then we can put together a suitable and fair quote for the customer.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask the provider about the different options they can offer you, if they have a set menu or if it is something that can be tailored to your needs as this is often the case and can ensure you have a more personal experience. Ask the provider if they will need staff or if they will be providing staff (this applies more so if the event is large)

Icarus & Apollo was born from a love of travelling and trying different street food around the world.
When Holly returned from Australia and purchased a vintage caravan with the intention of fitting it out to serve food from , lockdown hit and this gave us lots of time to fully convert two full vans and get them ready for service As all events were cancelled, we then established a cafe and takeaway vegan and veggie street food business with a home in Sheffield but our passion was always to be on the road and share our food with as many people as possible.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We catered for a fabulous event in Leeds, catering for an indoor climbing event. The organiser paid upfront and the food was included in the ticket price for the event. We found the whole booking system very straightforward and hassle-free. We were able to send the customer mock menus and he replied through Add to Event to get the exact food selection he thought fitted his clientele.
The customer was very happy with the service on the day and has actually already booked us for the next year!
