What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
The information we usually need for an accurate quote include the date, surface to set up on, location, estimated number of guests. It can be helpful to know what kind of atmosphere client is aiming for so we can suggest colours and set up configurations. Sometimes we need to fix the tents to existing walls - we need to know whether that is possible/whether we are allowed to put eye bolts in.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Explain to the marquee company what kind of event it is and what kind of atmosphere you would like to create at the venue. List all the required items. Try to find out about the supplier, read their reviews, contact them with any questions regarding your event and get them to suggest solutions for you. Then you can make a choice based on all aspects of event planning and on the approach of the supplier.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Stretch tents is something we used to do when we lived in South Africa. We are passionate about them - particularly about their versatility. We were lucky enough to source a top quality product which we thought would find its market here in the UK. It has been a great success considering we only started the company 10 months ago.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
