What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we require the event date, start and finish times, estimated number of guests, venue information (indoors/ outdoors) and a brief description of the type of event they are hosting. Once we have this we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable package. If the enquiry is for venue dressing or the props required need styling we will offer some options and go from there.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would advise customers to do their research - have a look at the provider's website and social media pages, this will allow you to build a picture about the company you are dealing with. I would also advise not to be afraid of asking questions! If you have a unusual theme for example, ask if the company can tailor their offering to suit.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Cloud 9 Event Hire was born out of a love for event planning and styling. After styling my own wedding I realised I wanted to start my own business helping others to create their dream event. Having worked as a Visual Merchandiser, I have experience designing and implementing displays and project management which lends itself to my role now.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
