What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a competitive quote we need date, venue details, what the client would like to hire and number of guests.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Cheap is not always the best, find out how long they have been doing that line of business, are they insured, look at website, recommendations. Find out if they are doing fairs etc. to go check out the product and meet them face to face.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We are a registered, small, family run vintage candy cart/sweet buffet business, one of the first in Sussex, helping to make your special occasion extra special.

My business started 7 years ago after seeing a sweet cart at a wedding show up north, I couldn't stop thinking after it, I found nobody had one in Sussex. In my first year, I had 2 bookings, but it's gone from strength to strength and I have added popcorn, candy floss, love lights, post boxes, ferris wheels, donut wheels since then.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had a few bookings via this site and gone to some new venues in the process. Last year I did popcorn on the end of Eastbourne Pier for a wedding with the Disney Up theme, they had the most amazing hanging upside down wedding cake and loads of multi coloured bright balloons on all the tables. The guests enjoyed the popcorn while the happy couple went off to have photos
