What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, the venue address, the estimated number of guests we are catering for and whether it is an indoor or an outdoor event. From this, we can put together a suitable quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask the provider about their insurances and whether they have food hygiene certificates, this gives you some confidence in their hygiene. Ask the provider about any other products they provide, they may have a range of services you may not yet have considered.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Sweet Thang UK was set up solely for Sweets however we saw a space for party hire machines and we have added services to our portfolio over the 4 years we have been established. Our passion is to make our customers happy, we see the detail in sweets, we like to separate ourselves from our competition by offering a variety of flavours and by providing something for all dietary requirements.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We are new to Add to Event (Feb 2020) and from our quotes out we have secured 2 bookings. I am hoping that Add to Event will give me the platform to expand the business a further and we are looking forward to our first booking through this platform very soon!
