What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide a comprehensive quote I would need to know where the event is and the time of the event. It is important to know the number of people attending and whether the event is for children and adults. The organiser should be able to let you know if the event is inside or outside, whether a gazebo will be provided and or table and chairs for you to use.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
A customer should ask how long you have been working in your area of expertise. You would want to know if they had the relevant insurance such as (PLI for corporate events). how long it takes to set up their equipment and how often they have worked at the particular event that you are looking to hire for, such as nurseries etc.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have always enjoyed working with children and had a flair for art. Face painting allowed me to combine the two and meant I could engage with adults and children as well as doing something I love! I love colour and face painting allows me to experiment with colour every day. Trying out new things and sometimes being asked for things that are unusual adds to the enjoyment of the job!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had a few bookings through Add to Event and my first one is next week. I have recommended the site to other face painters who want to find a wider variety of jobs. The site is easy to use and can be done through your phone which is an added bonus for on the job workers that need quick and easy access to responding to work!
