What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to give an accurate quotation, I need to know the number of guests, type of event, venue address and furniture options they require. This way I can calculate the number of teepees required for that number of guests and additional furniture options.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for package deals and who can provide a 'One Stop Shop', this makes logistics easier and less stressful. Instead of dealing with lots of different suppliers, emails, contact numbers etc. you're only having to deal with one. Often this works out more cost effective too, as they often give special rates to suppliers who use one another more often, which means the consumer at the end gets a seamless event at a better price!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Teepee Tent Hire started back in 2014 when brother and sister Tom and Charlotte went celebrating in the city of Manchester over the festive period with friends, when they came across some magnificent teepees! The atmosphere, buzz and fun that the teepees had was like no other they had experienced in a marquee or venue before.
They went home buzzing about what a great time they'd had when their idea of running teepees came to light!
Discussing with their father, a timber merchant and highly skilled joiner they began about designing and making their own bespoke rustic furniture from wooden entrance doors, rustic bar, fire pits, tables and benches.
