What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Ideally, I would need to discuss clients requirements. Failing that I need a location and the ideal structure be it a barn or a marquee. The number of guests and the level of equipment installed so tables and chairs but also dance floors, stage flooring and decorations.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone that you like and that you can communicate well with, someone who speaks your language...
The equipment levels and options are all pretty similar as are the prices, what differs is the level of service and you can translate that into stress levels!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have been working in events all of my adult life and I have to say it is in my blood.
I take pride and pleasure in my work and the repeat business I get is a testament to that.
My experience in events of all styles and sizes gives me a very relaxed demeanour during design, installation and the event itself.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
My first booking via Add to Event was very last minute. So it was a bonus job at the end of the week and I was able to create a much needed dry/covered area for a birthday gathering that would have been very different without it. Very happy clients who will be recommending me to friends and family.
