Michael Mathers, real name Mike James, has been performing on the UK hip hop scene since 2004 creating original music, producing other artists and is also a successful DJ - performing at events in London, Las Vegas & Sofia.
The act can be adjusted to your preference and any particular songs can be worked into the setlist, Mike will work with you to make sure you are totally happy and prepared.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide a quote I require a date, time and location of the event. Additional information such as number of guests, indoor or outdoor, and equipment at the venue is also very helpful to me to design my setup.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure to find out their experience and equipment. Make sure they are knowledgeable in the field of work they are offering.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my tribute act as I made the change from performing my own music to my favourite artist's music. I have always had a passion for Eminem and knowing all of his songs combined with my experience of being an MC & Rapper has helped me naturally step into this role.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
A booking that stood out for me was a house garden party in a marquee with around 40 guests, it was an intimate gig but everyone was singing along to the songs and dancing. There was a real buzz and energy amongst the crowd and they partied across the whole hour of my performance.
