Veg Heads provides fully vegan, colourful but junky street food serving their food at large festivals, private events and pop-ups around Herts, Essex, and the rest of the South-East.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer we need to know the event date and time, a brief explanation of the type of event, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue. We also would like to know if in or outdoors, whether there is water and electricity available. From these points, we can use our experience and expertise to together a suitable equipment list and design.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly ask us about our menus. We have quite the range of expertise with vegan food and we can provide a plated service or a street food setup. Ask us what power we need, depending on the menu you choose, so that we can provide the best possible service. And don't be afraid to ask for a tasting session at our pub if you'd like!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Veg Heads started trading on local regular markets back in 2018 around Herts and Essex. The owner Matt is a passionate vegan, born out of clarity as to how we treat, use and exploit animals. Food is the way to people's hearts, so by producing and serving amazing vegan food, it helps people see that they could possibly live an alternative lifestyle to what most of us grew up with. Since then the business has grown, we now have 8 staff, a pub in Hertford, and we obviously do events too- festivals, weddings, vegan markets, you name it!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We are new to this site so we haven't taken a booking yet, but lots of exciting opportunities seemingly coming our way through Add To Event!
