The UNLEASHED team travels covering events using VR headsets, VR Free Roam Wireless Arenas and our Gaming Party Van(s) / Bus which covers the same area for a fun-filled event with the ten onboard consoles and screens.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote we need to confirm the date or dates and preferred time of day. We also need to confirm where the event will be taking place, if using our Gaming Van that there is safe reasonably level parking for a van (about 2 full car lengths). Standard power socket available within 50m and if you want online gaming a router we can plug our network (Ethernet) cable into as well (within 70m).

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the provider for reviews or testimony. I would ask them how long they have been doing this or similar work. How do they handle things like sickness or last-minute problems. Are they a one-man band or do they have an entire team to rely on?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Player Ready Virtual Reality started in 2018 as a pop-up after a 20 year stint in B2B (business) IT systems it was a nice distraction. After being picked by Thorpe Park resort for a Gaming Event called #GameFX in 2019 it grew from there. Player Ready now have five retail locations in the south of the UK and despite Covid is growing. Our IT business helps by providing IT and logistical support and this means our event hosts can concentrate on making sure guests of whatever age have fun in a safe manner.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We attended the Birthday of a boy who had the year before been at our Plymouth location, but this time they wanted an after-school party at home. The boy who was turning 13 was so excited when the brand new Player Ready Unleashed Gaming Van turned up outside his home, all the kids in the street were envious and wanted to have a look inside. The party went so well and everyone was having a good time. I have recommended Add to Event to a friend who runs a Soft Play Bus and a similar Gaming Van in London. It's a great platform and so easy to use.
