What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a quote to the client, we need the event date, a brief explanation of the event, the estimated number of guests, the potential venue, whether it's an indoor-outdoor event.

When it comes to quoting for weddings, we are searching for fiancés who aren’t afraid to be themselves, laugh a little, giggle and maybe be a bit cheeky, and let us capture the heart of their relationship as well as their wedding day.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Have you been doing your research for what type of wedding film you are after, and have you seen any examples of their work?
Are you going for a documentary-style film or something a bit more stylistic? (We are on the more stylistic and creative side of things!).
Ask if there are more than one camera angle or videographers filming the event, to get the best coverage, and how long are they staying for, is it an hourly rate or an 8-hour slot? At BrightSky Film we break from the norm and film ALL DAY as standard, so you don't need to stress about fitting us in with the photographer or your day.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We are videographers who specialise in making beautiful and creative footage. Shooting video for over 10 years, with the past 4 years focusing on drones and aerial film and photography as BrightSky Drones, an award-winning and specialist drone company.

Now we’re combining both our skillsets to help you get beautiful video from the ground (as well as from the air if you need it!). We’re here for your event, wedding, commercial or production. We are BrightSky Film. Quirky, honest, professional and creative… and we’re here to help you.
