What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Here at Daisy's Tea Party, the first thing we need to know in order to provide you with a comprehensive quote is the date and location of your event. Next, you need to tell us the number of guests you're expecting. Finally, it's really helpful for us to know the type of items you'll be requiring. For example a cup and saucer for each guest, or full Afternoon Tea crockery to be able to serve everyone attending.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking for a Vintage Crockery provider, have a look at the profile page, website and reviews as this will tell you about other peoples' experiences of hiring their crockery. Have a look at their photographs to check if you like the style of the crockery they're providing. Ask about the price and if this includes everything, with no extras on top. For example, is delivery/collection included? Will you need to wash the crockery after use or is a washing-up service included in the price? Can they be flexible about changing an order once it is placed?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I absolutely love Afternoon Tea! We are so often in a rush, grabbing lunch on the go, eating at our desks etc. Sitting down to thinly sliced finger sandwiches, scones laden with jam and luxurious clotted cream, fluffy cakes and tempting delicacies is a tradition few of us rarely have time to do, but it is so worth it! And to really put the cherry on the cake (sorry!) drinking tea from a beautiful bone china cup really does make the tea taste better! I passionately believe that people can create the luxury of Afternoon Tea at the Ritz or Betty's Tea Room in their own home, garden or special event and give their party a flavour of a more elegant, less hurried, past.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I would definitely most happily recommend Add to Event to others! I have had several bookings through them and every single one has been a great experience - lovely clients and great feedback and/or reviews. I don't think I could pick out one booking that was my favourite as they've all been very successful! I've also had repeat bookings from some clients which is really reassuring.
