What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to be able to provide a comprehensive quote we would need to know the date and time the event is to take place, the event type they are holding, the estimated number of guests, any dietary requirements and if the event is to be held indoors or outdoors. We would also need to know the location of the event and if staffing is required. Gaining all this information to begin with saves time which means we can return to the customer with a comprehensive quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask your provider about their different menu choices and prices. The better the price does not mean the better value. A good caterer will have various menu options for you to choose from. Also, ask who their Public Liability Insurance is with, you can guarantee a professional company will know this information.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Victoria's China Hire & Catering was born in 2019. I got to a time in life when I needed to be doing a job that I love and follow my heart. My love of growing up visiting my Great Grandmother and being treated to a cup of tea in a china cup and saucer with a slice of homemade traditional cake is what dreams are made of!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Wow, just wow. Through this platform anything is possible. The one I would pick is where my phone rang as I was sunbathing on the Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas. A head chef wanting to use us for a huge Corporate Event the week as I returned. It was for 280 people so it was full steam ahead on my return.
Through answering that phone call it has opened up so many more future opportunities for my family business. Thank you Add to Event.
