Wee Green Events cater to small and large groups for any occasion. They have a Citroen Vintage Van which can be used for catering or bar services in the East Lothian area and also have a Vintage Peugeot J7 Wood Fired Pizza or Mac Van.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to provide a detailed quote for our customers, ideally we need to know the date and timings for their event, a description of how they see their day running and how they would like us to assist with their catering requirements. It is also good to know a rough number of guests and the venue/venue type they have selected. From this we can use our expertise and guidance on how to make their event a success!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would be asking the provider about the types of food and services they can offer, the quality of the produce and the speed of service if required to serve a large number of people. It is also key that they understand what the supplier can offer in terms of specific dietary requirements.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

While living in Houston, Texas I had an obsession with all the amazing food trucks that were available on my doorstep. From Tacos to Doughnuts to Burger to Pizza, there really was a huge selection of quality offerings served from quirky, cool vans. When returning to the UK and on meeting my partner, who has 25+ years in the catering and hospitality industry, we hatched a plan during lockdown and Wee Green Events was born. Having both run a catering franchise and pub together previously we hit the ground running with events bookings and we have not looked back since with over 200 events under our belts already. Our focus on customer care is at our core and we get so much satisfaction seeing the enjoyment on your guest's faces from the services we have provided.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had many bookings through Add to Event, but one that stands out was our corporate booking at The Old Course Hotel where we were on a tight timeline to serve over 100 people. We arrived at the venue well ahead of time. The setup was smooth and service was so efficient we got everyone served in just over an hour with a quality menu including 4 great options catering for Halal, Vegan, Veggie and Meat Eaters! We received amazing feedback on the day and received a wonderful review from the event organisers. It was lovely to be invited to cater in another new venue.
