What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to be able to provide a quotation we require the event date, venue address and the number of guests that we will be catered for as well as a brief overview of the type of event that is being hosted. We are then able to provide a quote to match your individual needs.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The advice I would provide is to check all qualifications or industry knowledge beforehand and if they are able to provide evidence or testimonials from previous customers. I would suggest that you ask for evidence of any liability insurance that they have beforehand and ask if there is a contract offered to ensure that you have security when booking. Ask questions, the more you get to know the individual the more you get to 'feel' if this is the right fit for your event.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have been in catering since the tender age of sixteen and having owned and managed a successful award-winning fish and chip shop for over thirteen years I wanted a small business that I can manage with my two daughters to fit alongside my teaching role and their college commitments. I have always been committed to ensuring I am able to provide the highest quality products as well as providing a service which stands out from any competitors, it's often the person who is the business as well as their products and with many years of retail experience at management level and personal qualities to match I feel this is one of my best assets. I have great pleasure when I see customers enjoying our products and service, there is nothing quite like it.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

My first corporate booking was thought Add to Event and it has lead to a repeat booking this year where we attended a family fun day put on for employees for up to 200 people. We excelled their expectations and had some lovely feedback, the children loved making their own ice cream creations and as a teacher, I thrive on seeing their creations and individual flair come alive, I suppose that's our family values at its best.
