What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To ensure a successful event we will require clear guidelines with regards to the following. The number of people expected, the type of food required, the time-frame required and availability of water and electricity. It is also important to inform the caterer whether any children will be attending as this could have an influence not only on the menu, but also on the actual quotation.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It is important that a customer searching for a waffle caterer provide as much detail about their requirement as possible. If the information regarding the customers requirements is clear to the service provider, this could potentially eliminate any misunderstandings and save time. The quotation will reach the customer sooner which will allow the customer to make a decision on a particular service provider sooner.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We own an Award Winning 1950's American Diner based in Wimbledon. We decided to go down the mobile route not only to share our amazing food offering with more people, but also to market our brands to a wider audience. We are in the process of developing a franchise package and creating awareness through our mobile catering unit can definitely assist with this.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We recently were called upon to assist a company that host open air cinemas in various locations. Their caterer broke down and we were sourced through Add to Event by the customer at very short notice. Fortunately we were able to assist and hosted a fantastic evening for around 500 people. The end result was a follow up meeting with the organiser which has now resulted in us catering for approximately 9 future events this year and a potential contract to cater for most of their shows next year.
