What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a quotation, it’s important for us to know whether you require a dry-hire service (meaning hired items that you assemble or fit yourself or whether you require a venue dressing service. We will also need the date of your payment event, the number of guests and location.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly ask about the length of time and experience that company has been in operation. Do check reviews both on this platform, Trustpilot and social media. Ask the supplier about any packages they may offer that may decrease your overall costs on individually selected items. quality of the items being hired. Lastly, In this current climate, you may want to have a clear understanding of their cancellation policy especially during Covid should you need to postpone or cancel.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
It all started 34 years ago when Marilyn, the owner planned her own wedding from start to finish for 500 people in North West London. She went on to project manage corporate events from seminars to conferences from 20 delegates to over 1,000 delegates. She has a real passion for quality events and excellence in general with a strong focus on customer service.
We work with all event hosts, brides and celebrants to bring their vision to life. Being predominantly a dry hire service, “service” is at the forefront of our business.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have had several bookings through this platform which we are grateful for. To be honest, we have enjoyed working with all our clients to date. Some weddings, some funerals, some parties and some more formal corporate events. However, the one that stands out most was supplying hired items for a ‘feeding ceremony’. This was the first time we heard of an ‘Annaprashana’ which for us meant we had to educate ourselves and be fully present and knowledgeable when dealing with our clients. It was such fun, the communication was great and the outcome amazing.
We love the variety of work gained through this platform and would certainly recommend its use by other suppliers.
